Come celebrate the many traditions that make our EES community so special on Friday, March 27th from 6–8 PM at our annual Community Traditions Night. We hope to see lots of families there as we share food, stories, music, and traditions from around the world!
Would you like to contribute something? We’d love that! Maybe you’re a henna artist, make amazing samosas or crepes, have traditional clothing from your country of origin, or enjoy sharing games, music, art, or activities connected to your culture or family traditions. However you’d like to share, it all helps bring the vibrancy of our community to life.
Schedule for the evening:
- 5:30 PM – Set up for those bringing food or displays
- 6:00 PM – Potluck begins
- 6:10 PM – Performances begin
Country and cultural tables and activities will be available to explore throughout the evening.
This is a potluck dinner so consider making a favorite dish to share. Please sign-up through this link so we know how many folks are sharing food. If you would like to prepare a dish or an activity to share, but need some financial support, please contact atechera@bsdvt.org
If you would like to prepare a dish or an activity to share, but need some financial support, please contact Andrea Techera-Gill at atechera@bsdvt.org
Parents and families can also share their family tradition with food or in other ways. There will be tables throughout the gym and cafeteria if you wish to set up a cultural display (past examples include tortilla making, arts and crafts, travel information, flags, photos, clothing, cultural artifacts, stories, games, language writing to share). If you would like to have a table to represent your culture, or you’re willing to volunteer, please email Andrea Techera-Gill at atechera@bsdvt.org.
Volunteers Needed! If you would like to help set up tables and decorations, serve food, run a table or clean up, please sign up here!
All EES community members are welcome to attend!
There is no need to share anything to participate in the evening.
